MEET AUTUMN

10+ Years of Hands-On Dog Training Experience

Calculated Canine Solutions is led by Autumn, whose experience in the animal industry began more than a decade ago. After initially exploring veterinary care and animal husbandry, she became deeply interested in animal behavior and psychology - eventually focusing her work specifically on dogs.

Autumn developed her knowledge by studying canine behavior, learning under a variety of successful trainers, working with service dogs, and raising and training her own dogs for competitive venues. Her personal experience with a dog facing serious genetic behavioral challenges inspired her passion for behavioral modification.

Calculated Canine Solutions was created to provide flexible, individualized programs centered on the fulfillment and success of each dog and the people who love them. The goal is not simply obedience - it is a well-rounded, stable, and happy dog who understands how to work confidently with their owner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with dogs of all breeds and ages?

Yes. Calculated Canine works with dogs of different breeds, ages, temperaments, and experience levels. Each dog is evaluated individually so the training can be adapted to their specific needs.

What behavior concerns can you help address?

Training can help with unreliable obedience, unclear communication, fear, reactivity, aggression, poor manners, and dogs that need greater structure, stability, confidence, or fulfillment. The appropriate program will depend on the nature and severity of your dog’s behavior.

Is the training customized for each dog?

Yes. Every training plan is adjusted according to the dog’s temperament, learning style, behavior, emotional needs, previous training, and the owner’s goals. Dogs are given the time they need to understand each stage of the training process.

What training approach do you use?

Calculated Canine uses an individualized, enrichment-based approach. Training combines clear communication, structure, real-life experiences, healthy challenges, and activities that support each dog’s mental, emotional, and physical needs.

Will my dog practice skills in real-life environments?

Yes. Training is designed to help dogs apply what they learn outside of a controlled training environment. Skills may be practiced in everyday settings so your dog can develop more reliable responses in real-life situations
